A beautiful day at Russell Island

One of our favourite anchorages in the Gulf Islands National Park is at Russell Island. A few days ago didn’t disappoint again as warm weather and reasonably calm seas made for an enjoyable evening. Russell Island has amazingly clear waters and some very family friendly beaches. A few walks through the forest to cool down, it really doesn’t get much better.

For those without larger boats Russell Island is easily accessible by kayak from Fulford Harbour or Ruckle Park on Salt Spring Island. There isn’t any camping however but Ruckle Park is a great spot.
