Roe Lake is located adjacent to Roesland and above the Shingle Bay area of the Gulf Islands National Park. This freshwater lake is predominantly surrounded by second growth Douglas fir forest

A short trail system leads up to the lake from Otter Bay Road. Fishing is not permitted in Roe Lake.

This area is a wonderful place for picnicking and relaxing. Keep an eye out for the local deer and beavers as well as river otters. In the spring, there are wildflowers to enjoy.

Getting to Roe Lake:

The Penders are accessible from Swartz Bay (Vancouver Island) and Tsawwassen (mainland, near Vancouver) through BC Ferries. BC Ferries provides service to Otter Bay Ferry Terminal on North Pender. Once you are on North Pender, the park is on the west side of South Otter Bay Road (about 3.5 kilometres from the ferry terminal).
