A number of us were fortunate to be at Princess Bay on Portland Island for the solar eclipse a few days ago. While I didn’t have the camera equipment to photograph the actual eclipse I did shoot some images as the eclipse hit about a 90% coverage. The whole experience was interesting with a strange colour in the bay and what I found most noticeable, a very cold period that lasted perhaps 10 minutes. One hour later and the warmth and normality was back. Very cool!
The Gulf Islands National Park area at Roesland on North Pender Island has some amazing arbutus trees (madrona trees for our friends down south)...
8.1 ° C
