Boating in the Gulf Islands

Sailing in the Gulf Islands

A large number of the locations in the Gulf Islands National Park are only accessible by water.

Arriving on the Gulf Islands by boat is what many consider the “proper” way to visit this area. With many of the parks most outstanding features available only by water this is certainly attractive. U.S. boaters may clear customs at Sidney on Vancouver Island, Bedwell Harbour on South Pender Island or Ganges on Salt Spring Island (please confirm this before you leave, subject to change).

If you don’t bring your own boat consider renting a motorboat or sailboat or experience the joys of kayaking.
