BC Ferries provides passenger and car service to the Southern Gulf Islands with ferry terminals on Galiano Island, Mayne Island, North Pender Island, Salt Spring Island and Saturna Island. Schedules can be somewhat confusing as some destinations might require a transfer.

Reservations are available on the ferries coming from Tsawwassen (Vancouver and lower mainland) and are advisable as these ferries are often sold out, especially on weekends and holidays. The toll-free reservation line is 1-888-223-3779. In addition to cash and travelers cheques, BC Ferries accepts VISA and MasterCard for on-the-spot payment of fares and for advanced reservations.

Ferries from Vancouver Island cannot be reserved and it’s advisable to get to the ferry terminal somewhat early as they often are full. You don’t want to get left behind!

Our ferries often operate late (when compared to the published schedule). The ticket booth staff and BC Ferry web site have information regarding is whether a particular sailing may sold out or a ferry is running late.
